Memory: Lincoln Park

Memory: Lincoln Park

One of our weekly rituals when we lived in West Seattle was to have long walks in Lincoln Park . We’d often stop at Starbucks on the way so I could pick up a latte for me and a puppacino for you. We’d park in the upper parking lot and hike all the way down to the beach. We’d then walk along the beach before making the long trek back to the car.

Sometimes we’d go in the evening and I’d jog while you ran beside me. Other times we’d go and just sit and look out at the water, although for your entire life you always wanted to be on the go, never content to sit still.

I miss those rituals so much and really hope I get to have equally meaningful rituals with my next dog. I miss you baby girl.
